Our mission, is to take the stress and workload out of disability care coordination, and give families the confidence to manage their care, and set their own path.

We made it - thank you!

Thanks to your incredible show of support, we have now reached our crowdfunding target! This means that we now have the funds needed to complete our first launch version of the app.  

So now what? 

Instead of setting a fundraising stretch target we want to do something a little different now. During this campaign so many people told us how they thought sameview could help someone they knew.  And now that we know our product will be available, lets make sure that everyone of thos families can have sameview too!

Our journey

Coordinating care for our son is something we have struggled with. While we have an amazing support team of 20 people across medical, allied health, education, and disability support areas, one major challenge is that achieving our goals relies on effective teamwork between these people, and the only way to do that is if we manually coordinate every single piece of communication within the team. 

This workload can be so great, and so stressful, that at times there is little capacity left to simply enjoy family life.

Feedback from families

The overwhelming feedback we have received from families and support providers is that they too struggle with the same coordination issue. Each family has their own unique goals such as: rehab after surgery, going to school, or independent walking. Just as important are their family goals such as: holidays, a rare kids free date-night, or even a break from therapy for a week or two.

No goal can be achieved without coordination between a family's support team members.

Our solution

The sameview app, is a platform for disability care coordination and collaboration. Our features include:

• Tracking what needs to be discussed at appointments, including sharing this ahead of time so no time is wasted in the appointment.
• The ability to take a video, photo, or audio recording of outcomes such as exercises and have it linked to a goal so you always what you are working towards.
• A simple way of giving all support team members a common, and family centred view of care.

Every part of our app has been designed with the intention to take stress away from families.

Since starting sameview in November 2016, we have spent $40,000 of our own savings on building the business, gaining feedback, analysis, design, and development. Optus Future Makers has since generously contributed $10,000 to support the development of our prototype, and by doing so have accelerated our progress.

Our prototype is being released in September to a select number of families and support providers for feedback. This feedback will be used to build an even better first full release.

We are now seeking your support to raise $20,000. With this funding we can complete our iOS full release by the end of the year and give more families the confidence to thrive.

Technical issues, people issues, funding issues, getting sick, coordinating care for my own family - these are all real challenges we will face. 

To prepare ourselves we have assembled what I would describe as the nicest and most talented group of people around. They include our development team, design, photography, film, and social media, legal support, business support, incubator support, mentors, and also our incredible supporters. 

Above providing their best work, these amazing people and sameview are bound by common values. We're in this to help families and the journey is just starting. We'll learn, we'll correct, and we won't give up until we've made a difference to these families.
